Placed in the northern extremity of the Coast in Rimini, Bellaria Igea Marina, has seen for a long time the sea as fulcrum of its existence.
From fishermen's suburb in the middle age, the city becomes toward the end of the 19th century  bathing resort, without however to forget his/her own origins, so much is true that the I bring of Bellaria, despite doesn't allow the berth great boats, it still welcomes a fleet of around 200 fishing-boats.
Nowadays, the coloured beach, the urban park, the elegant pedestrian islands, have become, together with the modern hotels, the predominant characteristic of Bellaria as typical city of the Riviera Romagnola.
Very suggestive is a walk in the old town, rich of characteristic places to meet friends and to drink a good glass of Sangiovese, and to taste fish specialty of the Adriatic sea.
